Grinded stripping knife FINE

This stripping knife is manufactured with a handle made of local cherry wood and stainless, hardened steel.

With conventionally produced stripping knife blades, the teeth are milled and then hardened. During this process, some scale residue remains between the teeth, meaning the stripping knife is never 100% perfect, as these residues can slightly affect the cutting function and smooth movement through the coat.

With our new production method, the teeth are ground only after hardening, resulting in a completely clean surface without residues.

As a result, this stripping knife can be used in two ways:

1. For combing out loose hair – without cutting
The stripping knife is used like a comb and pulled through the coat in the direction of hair growth.

2. For removing guard hair – by cutting
As with traditional stripping: hold small sections of the hair to be removed between the thumb and the blade, then pluck the hair away from the dog with a slight twisting motion.

WARNING

Check whether the dog accepts the use of the tool. Secure the animal if possible. Incorrect use may cause skin injuries. Excessive use on one area may result in holes appearing in the coat.
